Dead Poets

I was reading georgiapeachy's livejournal in which she did a post wondering why it is that Emily Dickinson is read at all. While I am not fond of Emily Dickinson, the poem the dear Georgia used to illustrate her argument is as follows:

I'm nobody! Who are you?
Are you nobody, too?
Then there's a pair of us -- don't tell!
They'd banish us, you know.

How dreary to be somebody!
How public, like a frog
To tell your name the livelong day
To an admiring bog!

And, honestly... in a certain context... that amuses me so... and I rather like it. *snicker*
